Where Stillness Stores the Memory of Time
Ripples of sound, whispers woven in words.
A quiet realm of wabi-sabi, where you surrender to the flow.
A sanctuary in the innermost room, where the heart comes to rest.

Timeless Journeys

Sightseeing

Explore the depths of Otaru from your base in Asari

Otaru, which rapidly grew as a port city in the late Meiji period, still retains stone warehouses associated with Kitamaebune ships and gas lamps flickering along the canal. We introduce spots easily accessible from our facility, such as the Tenguyama Ropeway, one of Hokkaido’s three great night views, Shukutsu, where the sunset reflects beautifully, and Minami Otaru, perfect for historical walks.

Seasons, woven here.

Seasons

Winter ski slopes enveloped in snow, summer fireworks coloring the port, mountains dyed in autumn hues. And in spring, the view of the distant sea through cherry blossoms blooming on the mountains. The experience of touching the seasonal landscapes and culture of Otaru, embraced by the natural harbor of Ishikari Bay and the surrounding mountains, is a luxury unique to this place. The time woven by nature and history quietly fills the heart.
