Explore the depths of Otaru from your base in Asari

Otaru, which rapidly grew as a port city in the late Meiji period, still retains stone warehouses associated with Kitamaebune ships and gas lamps flickering along the canal. We introduce spots easily accessible from our facility, such as the Tenguyama Ropeway, one of Hokkaido’s three great night views, Shukutsu, where the sunset reflects beautifully, and Minami Otaru, perfect for historical walks.

Taste the North

Accompanying your journey,
fine wines from the north

From Otaru, Yoichi, and Niki, some of Hokkaido’s premier wine regions, we have selected brands highly regarded worldwide. Even rare bottles are available in the all-inclusive package. Enjoy a unique pairing experience with wines imbued with the essence of the northern land.

A Sanctuary of Serenity

architecture

Architecture reflecting “tranquility”

Designed by architect Makoto Nakayama, our facility was created based on a design philosophy that values “tranquility.” While cherishing the beauty, tranquility, and subtlety inherent in Japanese aesthetics, it is crafted in a way that harmonizes with modernity, providing a space of peace and comfort. It is a place where the Japanese spirit lives on, allowing for quiet solitude without disturbance.
