We offer 18 rooms, each with a different atmosphere, from the interior to the furnishings. The color tones of the rooms, tables, and furnishings are also totally coordinated, and the rooms are designed to allow guests to sit comfortably on the floor and spend time in a relaxed atmosphere.
The furniture is mainly Japanese antiques, but also includes furniture from the Yi and Ming dynasties, which will become more and more beautiful as time goes by, enriching your time spent in the house.

We use the best ingredients selected from Otaru and other parts of Hokkaido. Sometimes, we even trace back to the place of origin and producer to limit the selection.
The style of cuisine follows the traditional Japanese kaiseki style, but the chef creates each dish in his own unique way, without being restricted to Japanese cuisine.
We are always in search of dishes that can only be found at Kuragan.

The murmur of the Asari River reaches the heart, from the budding of spring to the fresh green of early summer. Autumn, autumn leaves, winter snow cover, and icicles on the trees. The four seasons are circling in the open-air garden. The faint smell of river water and forests. The open-air hot spring in the warehouse is a hot spring to enjoy the seasons.
The bathrooms in the guest rooms also have hot spring water. Take a book and enjoy your favorite drink in one hand, or take a half-body bath and relax. Or relax in a half-body bath. Enjoy the luxury of being able to enter at any time, in any style you wish.

Guests can enjoy the hospitality of the Kurakun style space at the Cafe & Bar “Clarte”, the Library “Kunitokko”, and the Tea House “Fudyuan”.
There is also a wood deck terrace courtyard where you can enjoy objects by Takemasa Narahara, a sculptor.

Access
Nestled in the port town of Otaru,
a quiet inn surrounded by nature.
It takes about 60 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport and about 40 minutes from Sapporo City. Both use the Asazato IC of the Futarutaru Expressway.
By train, take the JR rapid “Airport” train to Otaru Chikko Station. From there, a shuttle service (advance reservation required) to and from the warehouse group is available.
It is about 15 minutes from Otaru Ferry Terminal by car or cab, and about 20 minutes from Otaru Chikko Station.
